Education and Research
Kaitlyn with Vega, one of our educational ambassadors.
Education is the cornerstone of conservation! For this reason, it is also a critical facet of what North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is all about!
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary has the distinct honor of being able to introduce the world of raptors, to both kids and adults, in the form of public demonstrations, school programs, rehabilitation releases, and private events.
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is currently able to house and care for multiple raptors for use in our education programs. The care and management of a permanently disabled, non-releasable raptor is not a task taken lightly. It requires daily work and careful interactions to develop a satisfactory rapport and level of trust that allows for use in educational programs with the public.
And, while our education program continues to grow, we also maintain contact with a national network of fellow rehabilitators and experts in the field of raptor training, conservation, and rehabilitation! The goal of this network is to increase/improve the knowledge, standards, and overall methods of care that we are able to provide to raptors.
Please consider donating! Your support will help us provide for a greater family of non-releasable birds, and continue to grow our education program.
